Worth Abbey is set in in beautiful Sussex countryside, not far from Crawley. That’s where Mrs Barnabas and I went yesterday for an inter-faith gathering in the Unity Room, which is part of the Abbey Church building.

The gathering was one of the regular Faiths in Sussex events at Worth Abbey.

What would you think if your daughter was permanently expelled from school for smiling during Assembly? And not only permanently expelled, but saddled with a criminal charge of “insulting the sacred”.
And what would you think if you complained about your daughter’s expulsion and you were charged with making “statements against the government for your pains? [...]

Getting ready for the Arts Academy group photo

Just back from the Bahá’í Academy for the Arts, a wonderful annual week of courses and classes in a range of arts, organized by a group of Bahá’ís. This has been going on for 14 or 15 years, and has become regular fixture in the UK Baha’i community’s calendar.

Bilo’s blog, Baha’i Faith in Egypt and Iran, reports that Bahá’í children in Egypt are being turned away from school, even though Egypt’s administrative court recognized the right of Bahá’ís to have ID cards back in January.
