A few more wedding pics
Sorry to bore you with wedding photos, but once I’d got the album out and started to scan, it seemed a pity not to show what things looked like when Erica and I got wed on 18 July 1970.

Dear Barney and Erica,
A very happy wedding anniversary to you. You are just wonderful….
Bilo, thank you so much for your kind words. Wonderful? We’re just striving to head in the right direction…
Dear Barney and Erica,
Happy wedding anniversary! Wish you a long life full of light, love, and laughter!
much love,
Thanks, Erfan, for your lovely and loving words of good cheer.
Much love
–Barney
Delightful! How special to be with dear David Hoffman.
Delane and I were married 6 days earlier!
It was a very good month and it is still a splendid 38 years.
Praise God!
David was a close friend of my parents-in-law from the time that David and Marion pioneered to Cardiff (where my parents-in-law were part of the Bahá’í community).
Congratulations to you and Delane, Kurt. It was a good month and a good year. A number of our Bahá’í friends married in 1970 and are still happily married.
Thanks for sharing the photo of my mum and dad; Carl and Joyce Card. On the left of the same photo are George and Doreen Bartlett, Viv’s mum and dad.
Fu’ád and I were in Dacca, East Pakistan at the time!
Joy
A belated Happy Anniversary (just back from NI Summer School). Erica hasn’t changed a bit. But I would never have recognised you, Barney! What does that tell us?
Thank you for the delightful pictures. Would never have recognised you. But I was happy to see my aunt and uncle and cousin, the Munsiffs. Happy wedding anniversary to you both.
Regards
Zena
Joy, thanks adding information about the photo of the South Wales contingent. It all brings back many memories, particularly of your dad!
Iain, Zena, Erica sometimes thinks she should introduce me now as her second husband. I have changed a lot. My hair has moved around my head and somehow I’m more weighty than I used be.
Zena, it was such an honour to know your aunt and uncle - and it is an honour to know your cousin!
Thank you all for your good wishes.
Many congratulations Barney & Erica, and may you have many, many more years together. You both look so young, happy and in-love
:)
Hi, Umm Yasmin, thanks for your comment. Yes we were young and happy and in love. We can no longer claim to be young, but we are still happy (most of the time) and still in love.
I also hope we have many, many more years together, but whatever God wills!
