I see you’re plugging your latest novel in the second picture; or is that your book of lists, “Tasks I will get ’round to doing someday”
Looks like the Kitáb-i-Aqdas to me
Aha! “Laws I hope to follow one day”
Toby, David is right, it is the Kitáb-i-Aqdas! If I had a novel to plug (which I don’t) I’m not sure a presentation on the Laws of the Aqdas would be the place to plug it.
“Laws I hope to follow one day”? - I’ve made a will and it does not follow the divvy-up of the inheritance Baha’u'llah prescribes (which is, in any case, only for those who die without making a will).
I was only pulling one’s leg; though I didn’t realise the Kitab-i-Aqdas came with a bookmark. Mine is the red-covered version, sans (silk?) tassel.
Least I think it’s red.
Sorry, Toby. I will write out 100 times: “I must not take Toby too seriously!”
My copy of the Aqdas is the original hard cover edition that was published in 1992. It’s a really nice volume, but sadly my copy got a little damaged on the way to Finland - something leaked in my bag.
I also have a soft-cover edition in a dark blue cover.
Barnie, nice suit. Where can I get one like that?
That is an unsuit; in fact it is a Norwegian suit!
It is pining for the fjords!
I have it in Arabic ;P~~~ (okay that’s showing off)
Phillipe, Toby, the suit was not a suit, but a dark jacket and trousers. Unlike the “suit” that I bought as a suit and that turned out not to be a suit, my dark jacket and trousers did not in any way, shape or form claim to be a suit. In fact, in the light of day (but not in the photo), it is obvious that the trousers are medium grey and the jacket is dark blue.
Umm Yasmin, I think that’s showing off (no, not really), but how wonderful to be able to read the text in its original language. As good as any translation may be, it is clearly going to lose the linguistic and cultural subtleties of the original,
What we all want to know, Barney, is which of us are in that will you mentioned.
I’m sorry, Michael, you are not mentioned in my will.
