Tom, Vicky and Maya came to visit yesterday - and, coincidentally, we had the first summer day for what seems like months. We were actually able to sit outside in the sun and eat.

Barney,
Warm temperatures or not … it’s Italy!

Barney,
Your granddaughter is just adorable! Isn’t being a grandparent wonderful? My grandson Xavier was born on August 23, 2007, and I just melted when he grabbed my index finger five minutes after my daughter gave birth to him! The joy of being a grandparent; all love and no dirty diapers!
Angela, you understand it completely! Congratulations on the birth of Xavier. Grandchildren change your life in a rather different way than your kids do when they appear on the scene. I loved them too, but they’re your inescapable responsibility - at a time when (in mine and Erica’s case) we knew NOTHING about raising kids!
Now we just enjoy our four grandchildren - and are grateful to our kids for having their own offspring!
