I must say the Baha'i-jazz connection is an interesting one. Apart from listening to Dizzy on disk and hearing Tierney live (and on disk), I've met Doc Holladay, who was my wife's and my guest at the Baha'i Centre in London when I was Secretary of the UK NSA. I found his stories about how he became a Baha'i absolutely fascinating and, of course, his music is wonderful. He gave a fireside with a particular focus on African rhythm and how he incorporated that into his own work. And, of course, he spoke about the spiritual connection of his faith as Baha'i and jazz.
