I’ve no doubt some readers are curious to see how some people have changed since the 1960s. Here are just a few “then and now” pics.

Shahram Mottahed is third from left in the upper picture, which shows members of the UK Baha’i National Youth Committee walking down London’s Rutland Gate in about [...]

The importance of positive beliefs

by Barney on 30 July 2007

I’ve just read this article about the importance of positive beliefs on John Wesley’s wonderful Pick the Brain blog. It’s a good lesson for Baha’is and is backed up by the Baha’i scriptures.
John Wesley writes:

Reunion of 1960s/1970s UK Baha’i youth

by Barney on 29 July 2007

Gail Hardy, Sam Hardy, Mojdeh Mottahed, Mary Hardy

It’s a bit scary to think that 41 years have passed since I became a Baha’i. I was 18 then. Now I’m nearly 60. When I was 18, 60 seemed ancient. So do I feel ancient? Yes, some days I do. But mostly I still feel young enough. More life experience than when I was [...]

There’s a really nice interview with Tierney Sutton here. She relates her music to her life as a Baha’i:

Well not really! Not personally. Tierney Sutton didn’t come round our house to sing just for Erica and me.
Wednesday of last week Erica and I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary. I say “celebrated”, but Wednesday was a fairly busy day. An Equality and Diversity Forum meeting all morning, lunch with Brian Pearce, Director of the [...]

Mideast Youth – Thinking Ahead highlights the cheering news that the Muslim Network for Baha’i Rights has made its first media appearance on BBC Persian.
I and Baha’is across the world are deeply grateful to the young Muslims who are defending Baha’i rights. As Mideast Youth comments:
We are extremely thankful for everyone who expressed support for [...]

Rumi’s wisdom on the right work

by Barney on 17 July 2007

The Right Work
There is one thing in this world that you must never forget to do. If you forget everything else and not this, there’s [...]

Seven steps to successful story telling

by Barney on 15 July 2007

Sarah Clive telling a story

The world is full of wonderful stories. All the spiritual and faith traditions, including the Baha’i Faith, have rich treasuries of wisdom embodied in their stories. Stories are one of the most poweful activities we can get involved in to empower individuals and communities. Stories dress truth in beautiful clothes and present it to us [...]
