London guide uses one of my photos
The Schmap online London guide (Third Edition) includes a photograph I took of the tower of Southwark Cathedral. It’s not a particularly distinguished photo, but it’s rather flattering to the ego to have it published.
Of course, there’s no money attached to the publication!

Fame at last! It’s a very good picture - really gets the flavour of Southwark Cathedral.
Barney,
How did they get hold of it? How about Royalties?
Tess, many thanks for your kind comments. Southwark Cathedral is such a beautiful building that it’s difficult to do it justice in a photograph, especially as it is surrounded by the railway, Borough market and other buildings. Quite difficult to step back and take a really nice pic. Unfortunately the light was rather flat on the day I took the photo.
Bilo, the publishers found the photo on my Flickr site. They wrote to me and said it had been shortlisted for use on their website, that there would be no payment (neither fee nor royalty), and that I could withhold permission for publication.
