View down our lane, Welwyn, Hertfordshire

The odd thing, it feels as if we’ve always been living in Welwyn.

Oh, and by the way, we live in Welwyn and not in Welwyn Garden City, which is the new town (dating from around 1920) just to the south of Welwyn. Just so as you don’t make the same mistake that so many people make when we say we live in Welwyn. “Oh,” they say knowingly, “Welwyn Garden City”. It’s not good for my blood pressure.
