My name is Victoria Leith and I am an author living in the UK. I am compiling a book, along with co-author Fleur Missaghian, called ‘Just One Day’ which is a diverse collection of diary entries from people across the globe, all written on one day - the 21st September to be exact , which is World Peace Day.

Jeremy Gilley (founder of the Peace One Day organization) is down to write the foreword and we are going to have contributions from people from all over the world - from Doctors, magistrates and teachers to homeless people, street cleaners, pop-stars and fashion designers, from comedians to actors to Radio One DJs. We already have confirmations from many wonderful people from different countries and backgrounds but we need more people to participate. We would like to represent as many voices as possible to let the world know that everyone needs to be included if we are to strive for peace between the nations.

We would very much like for you to contribute your diary entry to this book. We feel that this is a very timely project and one that will get a lot of publicity due to the people who are becoming involved - something that is important to the book’s success. A percentage of the sale of each book will go to the Peace One Day campaign (www.peaceoneday.com) and each contributor will get the chance to promote a worthy cause or charity (a paragraph in length).

The aim of the book is to demonstrate the amazing diversity of the human race and how even though we have different positions in life, we all have a story to tell and a voice that deserves to be heard. It is a Baha’i inspired project, (as we are both Baha’is) but what we want to achieve is to gain insight into the lives of many and connect them through the one spine of the book.
