Commonwealth Day Observance, Westminster Abbey

Natasha Kay and I represented the Faith at the Commonwealth Day Observance in Westminster Abbey this afternoon. Natasha’s parents (Martin and Shahla), Shamim Gammage and Erica were also there. The Observance took place in the presence of The Queen and Prince Philip. Natasha acquitted herself very well in reading out the answer that she and Shamim and I had drafted in January. I was really pleased that Shamim had decided to come over from Northern Ireland for the Observance.
This was Chris Chivers’ last day at the Abbey. He has now gone to Blackburn Cathedral, where he will be Canon Chancellor.
I shook hands with the Queen outside the Great West Door after the Observance and Prince Philip correctly observed that I was the Bah
